Tablets can provide performance, portability, and convenience for skilled workers working outside of an office—but depending on where those workers need to do their jobs, tablets may need to be ready to weather the elements. While premium rugged cases may protect conventional tablets in some weather conditions, a tablet that’s made to perform almost anywhere may better meet your needs.
In our hands-on testing, we compared the Dell Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme Tablet with three other tablets equipped with rugged cases. We put all the tablets through hot and cold temperatures, as many drops as they could handle, and simulated heavy rain. We found the Rugged Extreme Tablet to be a better tool for work outside the office than the competitors we tested.
