It all starts with a Statement of Work (SOW):
We'll work with you to define your dreams, goals, audience, and concerns. Using these, we'll craft an SOW that captures your project's objectives. We’ll also help you choose simulations, games, on-the-job tools, user analytics, and other features to make sure your learners get the most out of your investment in the deliverables.
Purchase order (PO) or proof of purchase commitment:
We can't start a project without a PO or equivalent proof of commitment from your organization, so we'll work with you to move the project through your internal approval processes. We'll kick off the project as soon as the PO lands.
Kickoff:
Meet your project manager (PM) and some of the folks who will design and implement your offering. We're here to listen: What would work best for you? How and how often do you like to communicate?
Design
Project plan:
The project plan makes sure your team and ours are tracking the same milestones and are up to date on where we stand. Nothing is one-way: we build into the plan iterative review cycles and frequent checkpoints to ensure we’re collaborating well before moving to the next step.
Collaborative design:
We’ll make sure to gather all the source content you want to supply. This work happens in parallel with the rest of the project, with regular status calls and approval checkpoints to keep everyone in sync. To ensure everyone stays happy and on schedule, we’ll ask you for feedback and approvals early and often.
User experience:
First impressions are important! We’ll design an intuitive, on-brand navigation structure that reflects the SOW and sets the tone for the whole learning experience.
Instructional design services:
Often, the source content is spread across resources and people; our award-winning instructional designers mold that information into a contextualized, effective curriculum. This step goes very quickly, of course, if your content is design-ready and able to move directly into development.
Other media:
Our full-time, all-employee team creates images, produces custom music tracks, generates in-house narration, and more. Our team will help you determine which media will add the most impact to the learning experience.
Video:
Whether it is animated or live-action video that we shoot in our fully equipped 2,000-sq.-ft. professional production studio or on-site, PT can make your video dreams come true. Our award-winning team will collaborate with you to define your video’s direction and style, provide a storyboard with shot-by-shot visuals for your approval, and iterate with you until you're ready for us to move into production.
Iterative review:
Our iterative review processes give you the opportunity to provide input and gain stakeholder buy-in at every key step along the way. Timely feedback helps the whole team stay on schedule.
Development
Development:
We’ll take all the media and interaction pieces we’ve created and combine them into polished, functional learning experiences. The working prototypes move through a detailed quality assurance process in which we test on real devices, not simulators. The final product is both on target and highly reliable.
Your feedback:
You’ll get to play with the developed versions of your deliverables and use them in your learning environment—or in ours, if you’ve elected to have PT host your solutions. We’ll incorporate your team’s feedback (including legal review, as needed) in each round of the iterative review processes. We’re not happy if you’re not happy.
Test:
Depending on your business needs, we can help you first launch in a test environment, with a select audience, or in a pilot setting to be sure everything works exactly the way you want it to. We’ll thoroughly test the final deliverables—on real devices, not on simulators—to ensure a seamless experience for every end user.
Launch
Launch:
With all stakeholders in agreement and all the offerings working as planned, your learning solution is ready to launch. If you opted to track learner progress with analytics, we’ll get started with those too.
