We live in an age of seemingly endless opportunity, when a combination of advanced software, cutting-edge hardware, and revolutionary AI is rapidly redefining the horizon of what’s possible. For the technical experts and creative minds at the forefront of progress, high-powered workstations often serve as the daily drivers of innovation. If your team has demanding tasks to complete—from 3D rendering to data modeling to AI-powered workflows—older systems could be hindering their creative flow and throttling productivity. New workstations designed for today’s computational demands can help your team push more projects across the finish line and recapture time for exploring new ideas.

To see how much of a difference new workstation hardware can make, we used a variety of demanding CPU- and GPU-intensive benchmarks to compare the performance of two powerful workstations: a new HP Z4 G5 Workstation Desktop PC equipped with an Intel Xeon w3-2425 processor, and a previous-generation HP Z4 G4 Workstation equipped with a Xeon W-2235 processor. Across all our comparison tests—from AI medical imaging and language processing tasks to general productivity, CPU- and GPU-performance, 3D modeling, and creative workflows in Adobe Creative Cloud and more—the new Z4 G5 significantly outperformed its predecessor. The Z4 G5 sped up content creation, increased everyday performance, and handled AI tasks faster than the older model.

Our results show that a generational update from the Z4 G4 to the Z4 G5 can provide a serious performance boost when tackling demanding data- and graphics-heavy workloads. Whether your organization employs marketing professionals creating spectacular visuals, engineers rendering complex 3D models, or data scientists using AI to search for industry-shifting breakthroughs, supplying your staff with high-performing HP Z4 G5 workstations with Intel Xeon w3-2425 processors can equip them well to tackle future challenges with confidence.
